MUA eyeshadow swatches and review

I'm sure most of you have heard about the MUA range at Superdrug.  The affordable range has everything from eyeshadows to nail varnishes all coming in at £1 each!   It’s no wonder then that everyone’s jumping on the bandwagon in the search for cheaper alternatives to high end.  I only picked up 3 shades myself:

1. Matt dark brown (Shade 19)

2. Matt beige (Shade 17)

3.  Pearl Bronze (Shade 11)

Swatches:
                                      (L to R:  Shade 11, Shade 17, Shade 19)  Without Flash

(L to R:  Shade 11, Shade 17, Shade 19)  With Flash

Overall

Firstly I applied the beige shade to the lid.   This shadow did not apply very well with little colour pay off also the shadow was breaking up very easily when I was using my brush on it.  This is also true of the dark brown shade, it applied a little better than the beige but I feel it was only as it was a darker colour so could be seen better.

The best of the shadows was the pearl shade.  It had good colour pay off on the eye and blended well.  Unlike the other two it didn’t break up when I used my brush on it either.    The shadows are good value for money and I would like to try some of the other pearl shadows from the line.

Superdrug Haul

I popped into my local Superdrug the other day to pick up some items I had seen some You Tubers talking about in their latest videos, but as always I ended up picking up some other bits whilst in there.  The first things I got were 3 Miss Sporty nail varnishes, I was debating whether to get a Barry M grey polish then saw the 3 for £3.99 offer Miss Sporty had on and thought I would give them a try instead.  I've tried a few of their polishes in the past and they seem to work well.  I'll post some swatches of the colours when I give them a try.

So the main reason I went to Superdrug was to pick up the next two items.  The first are these MUA eye shadows.  I've always seen these in my local Superdrug but never really gave them a second glance until I seen Goss Makeup Artist on YouTube talking about them.  At only a £1 each I thought I might as well try them out and see what all the fuss was about. I picked up 3 in total, Shades 19 Matt, 17 Matt and 11 Pearl.  I swatched the testers in the shop and they seem pretty good actually but I’ll do a review when I’ve tried them properly.

My second reason for heading to Superdrug was this Tresemme dry shampoo.  I had heard Tanya Burr from Pixi2Woo talking about in her, Make up your mind Monday video. (If you haven’t seen it go check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c67SWbZgoAE).

I have always used the Batiste dry shampoos in the past.  I've tried a few from the range out and found that most of them don't smell so good.  So when I seen this video I thought it was the perfect time for me to branch out into other brands.  I've yet to try it but will post when I do, as I have dark hair dry shampoo is always a bit hit and miss for leaving you with a granny greyish tinge to your hair!

Hope your all having a lovely day guys and let me know if you've tried any of these out.

Also Superdrug is offering free delivery on their website up until Sunday 3rd April, so if you haven’t got one near you it’s the perfect time to grab some items in time for mothers day or just for yourself.
